Little Women
STEUBENVILLE, OH— The Franciscan University Theatre Department will present Kate Hamill’s Little Women to audiences this fall.
With humor and heart, Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel tells the coming-of-age story of Jo March and her sisters. Headstrong Jo March defies the expectations of her society as she strives to become an accomplished writer. Sisters Meg, Beth, and Amy also must negotiate their private ambitions with societal expectations as the girls grow up amidst the strife of the Civil War.
Hamill’s Little Women is a touching tale of young people searching for their futures under conditions that demand from them patience, persistence, and forgiveness.
