The Tragedy of Richard III is based loosely on the final stretch of England’s War of the Roses, a series of battles between the House of York and the House of Lancaster that lasted many years.

“It is quite amazing thinking about how much I’ve learned from being a part of the Franciscan theatre department for only just over a semester. I have been able to be a part of the many different types of productions—mainstage, senior directed one-acts, and the advanced directing scenes—in a variety of capacities, from stage managing to acting. I have also loved learning where theatre comes from and how it got to where it is today through my theatre history classes. The theatre department has welcomed me with open arms from the very beginning, and I am so grateful to be a part of it!”
