'night, Mother
STEUBENVILLE, OH— The Franciscan University Theatre Department senior directed one acts will present ‘night, Mother to audiences this fall.
Directed by Brigita Ruta, this is an intense play that changed what plays discuss and how they are discussed. It delves into the harsh reality that drives a person to suicide and the influence of people around them through it all.
This play unfolds an evening between a mother and her daughter that appears to be a normal, until the daughter reveals that she will kill herself at the end of the night driving the mother finally change her ways on her journey to uncover the truth and reasoning of her daughter’s actions.
Performances will be held November 19 at 6pm, and November 20 at 8pm and November 21 at 2pm in Anathan Theatre, on the ground floor of Egan Hall.
Admission is free.
